Madeleine Shaw's Book Review




I have wanted Madeleine's book for ages and I finally got it around a week ago from Tesco, For £10 (which is definitely worth it, if you ask me!) I've hopped from one diet to another and eventually gave up and lost hope but 'get the glow' is different. I've only been doing this for one week and I already feel amazing in my own skin, these are just a few things I've noticed this past week; 

changes so far


  • My skin is brighter and I don't have dark circles under my eyes.
  • I feel lighter & what I mean by that is, I have no heaviness to my shoulders or any ache in my back, knees or anywhere else for that matter. 
  • The meals fill me up and I'm really enjoying cooking and trying different things.
  • I'm sleeping a lot better. I used to sleep between 12-2am and wake up late too.. Now I'm asleep for 10pm and up at 7am (without an alarm.) 
  • I'm much more focused and motivated which helps when blogging or working out. 
  • I'm happier, I feel inspired and comfortable in my own skin for a change and it feels fantastic.

Other Changes

1. Well, I Immediately bought a juicer/blender and have been drinking nothing but pure juice and water and the occasional Savse (which, Madeleine has now partnered up with!) when before all I drank was coca-cola, tea and other sugar riddled drinks. - This alone I think has helped me feel the way I do right now.

2. I've not only kicked sugar and foods high in carbs, I've quit smoking too, and I feel fabulous. 'Get The Glow' is really helping to distract me from cravings. I have totally fallen in love with cooking again, I wake up excited every morning just to see what different Juice I can make or what yummy breakfast I can cook, Rather than waking up with no energy, drinking tea and smoking until 12pm. 

3. The scales aren't lying. I've weighed myself on three different types of scales just to make sure as I was seeing right. I've lost 1/2 stone in one week! I didn't even think that was possible, I was over the moon when I looked down to see myself 7lbs lighter and It's really given me a confidence boost. 

4. I'm eating foods I wouldn't go near before I got the book. Kale, seeds, oats, almond milk and 100's more, trust me - I've been experimenting, A LOT and now I eat everything! 


So as you can probably tell, the first week has gone amazingly and I have 5 left to complete (however, this is not a diet, it's a lifestyle change.) I highly recommend  that you, yes you reading this! join in with me on this 6 week programme. Just give it one week at least and feel the difference.
